In the last edition of Expo Revestir, on March 11th, the 6th edition of the ceramic tile system Workshop, promovido pela ANFACER.
The event featured lectures and concluded with a panel discussion on the pathology of detachment of ceramic tiles. The topic has been much debated in recent years, due to the increase in cases of this pathology in construction projects carried out in the country.
ANFACER, in 2016, took the initiative to commission a scientific study involving some of the main experts working in the area: CRC, CCB and USP.
At the Workshop, Dr. Fábio Melchiades, technical director of CRC, presented the conclusions of the stage of work carried out at CRC, which involved the characterization of a large sample of ceramic slabs, aiming to identify the main differences between the types manufactured in the country. Furthermore, the study indicated correlations between moisture expansion and some Physicochemical characteristics of the ceramic plates and the raw materials used in their manufacture.
