Microstructural analyses through observation of samples using a scanning electron microscope, combined with spot microanalysis of chemical composition using energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS). It allows magnifications of up to 50,000x on samples and can be useful for analyzing specific manufacturing defects, characterizing the sizes and morphologies of mineral particles and crystalline phases, detecting contaminants in raw materials and products, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
